Wiseco & BAR-TEK® Pistons and connecting rods in a set for maximum performance

Pretty good team: Forged pistons from Wiseco, I-Beam steel connecting rods from BAR-TEK® and ACL connecting rod bearings for your R32 turbo engine. This exclusive set is perfect for ambitious tuning fans who want to put up to 1000 hp on the road.

The complete set consists of high-performance forged pistons from Wiseco, BAR-TEK® I-Beam steel rods and ACL bearings. The pistons are reinforced for maximum performance and yet extremely light thanks to an alloy. The coated piston skirt reduces abrasion. The piston rings of Wiseco pistons are wider than normal pistons. This means that charging pressures of over 3.5 bar can also be driven without any problems.  From a boost pressure of 2 bar you should upgrade to our reinforced turbo piston pins.

Our R32 connecting rods are made for sporty drivers: They are also extremely light, milled from the solid and therefore very stable. Due to the I-Beam they are crack-proof and can withstand highest loads!

Since all parts in this set are perfectly matched to each other, you have the optimal kit for maximum performance of your R32 engine.

Features of the Wiseco pistons:

  • Piston ring stays are extra 5-8mm wide (instead of normal 3-5mm)
  • Original Wiseco with coating

  • 20 mm piston pin
  • Compaction 8.5:1
  • Piston shirt coated for less friction

Features of the BAR-TEK I-Beam connecting rod:

  • Original BAR-TEK®
  • high strength milled from solid material
  • suitable for extreme performance increases up to approx. 1000 hp
  • extremely light and very stable
  • Magnaflux inspected
  • 6 pieces per set
  • With ARP 2000 expansion bolts 3/8" (reusable)
  • ARP Assembly paste
  • Weight per connecting rod with screws only 599 g
  • With additional bore for piston pin lubrication

Features of the ACL bearings:

  • Performance bearings
  • Coated
  • Extra drilling for piston pin (optional)

Suitable for:

All R32 engines, for example installed in the Golf Mk4, Golf Mk5 or Audi A3 or TT.

The specified compression is achieved in combination with a 1.65 mm cylinder head gasket. Here you can find our compression calculator to determine your desired compression.
