2.2 Liters – The Big 1.8T Race Engine
The engine with a capacity enlargement to 2.2L is the biggest in the range. With it, you raise your engine tuning to the next level. The completely tuned engine for all 1.8T models leaves nothing to be desired. Way over 300 hp can be driven reliably. No wonder! What we install here are forged pistons by JE Pistons and H-beam steel con-rods with ARP bolts. These parts have been developed for the extreme conditions in car racing. The forged crankshaft as well as the main bearings and con-rod bearings from racing optimize the combination. An additional deck cooling in the engine block is another great feature of this engine. It cools the engine perfectly and automatically extends its service life. The power in this engine is so immense that we urgently recommend strengthening the gearbox as well.

With our special additional deck cooling, you provide your engine with ultimate cooling. The deck cooling is milled in the block. This way, the cylinders are cooled with additional water, which immediately makes the engine more durable.
