In engine tuning, the extra performance – which can be quite enormous – results in the generation of a lot more heat. This is why cooling is an essential part of tuning. Because performance-enhanced engines in particular must be sufficiently cooled for optimum efficiency. With our VW intercoolers, you keep the temperature of the intake air nice and low. Thus you can supply your engine with cool air and get better performance and, obviously, a longer service life. Optimal cooling of the intake air
The intercooler cools the fed combustion air. This ensures that the air has a greater air mass while the volume stays the same, and the engine can proportionally burn more fuel. This in turn leads to an optimal efficiency of the engine. The intercooler is installed between the compressor and the engine, where it dissipates a part of the heat accumulated during compression. Usually, you can replace the original with it quite easily by plug & play.
Significant extra performance
Good cooling of the intake air is important in order to enhance the performance and extend the service life of the engine. If the air is not sufficiently cooled, performance can be reduced drastically. For tuned vehicles in particular, losses are extreme. This is why you get only premium VW intercoolers in our shop that have been thoroughly tested by us. Normally, they have special high-quality radiator blocks, and their design has been optimized. This facilitates a much better cooling than with the standard fitted parts. So even during the height of summer, you can get a maximum performance out of your engine!
