Wiseco & BAR-TEK® pistons and conrods as a set for maximum performance

Pretty good team: forged pistons from Wiseco, I-beam steel conrods from BAR-TEK® and ACL conrod bearings for your R32 turbo engine. This exclusive set is made for ambitious tuning enthusiasts who want to put up to 1000 hp on the road.

The complete set consists of high-performance forged pistons from Wiseco, BAR-TEK® I-beam steel conrods and ACL conrod bearings. The pistons are reinforced for maximum performance and, thanks to an alloy, are still extremely light. The coated piston skirt ensures reduced abrasion. The piston rings of the Wiseco pistons are wider than with normal pistons. This allows you to run boost pressures of over 3.5 bar. From a boost pressure of 2 bar you should upgrade to our reinforced turbo piston pins.

Our R32 conrods are made for sporty drivers: they are also extremely light, milled from solid material and therefore very stable. Thanks to the I-beam they are crack-resistant and can withstand the highest loads!

Since all parts in this set are perfectly matched to each other, you have the optimal kit for maximum performance of your R32 engine.

Features of the Wiseco pistons:

  • Piston ring lands are an extra 5–8 mm wide (instead of only 3–5 mm as with normal ones)
  • Original Wiseco with coating
  • Extremely light due to special alloy
  • Reinforced for maximum performance
  • Bore in 84.00 mm, 84.25 mm, 84.50 mm and 85.00 mm
  • 20 mm piston pins
  • Compression ratio 8.5:1
  • Coated piston skirt for less friction
  • Complete set incl. piston pins, rings and clips
  • Installation and bore dimensions are included

  • Original BAR-TEK®
  • High-strength, milled from solid material
  • Suitable for extreme power increases up to approx. 1000 hp
  • Extremely light and very stable
  • Magnaflux inspected

  • With ARP 2000 stretch bolts 3/8"
  • ARP assembly paste
  • Weight per conrod with bolts only 599 g

Suitable for:

All R32 engines as, for example, installed in the Golf 4, Golf 5 or Audi A3 and TT.

You achieve the specified compression in combination with a 0.65 mm cylinder head gasket. Here you can find our compression calculator to determine your desired compression ratio.
