Description

Newest oil cooler kit on the market for the 2.5 TFSI engine, developed by BAR-TEK®. A must for optimal oil cooling on performance-enhanced 2.5 TFSI vehicles.

With our V2 kit we placed particular emphasis on putting together an oil cooler kit that can also be installed with a large upgrade intercooler. Here our 25-row high-performance cooler is used, which finds its place in front of the side auxiliary water cooler. This leaves enough space in the middle for a large intercooler, e. g. from APR or Wagner. 

The complete kit prevents high oil temperatures, ensuring constant oil pressure and optimal oil quality. This positively affects the service life of your 5-cylinder.

BAR-TEK® complete kit:

  • 25-row high-performance oil cooler BAR-TEK®
  • Special billet flange for connection to the engine block
  • Integrated thermostat (80°C)
  • Nylon-sheathed high-pressure lines
  • Complete gaskets and mounting parts
  • Oil cooler brackets for conversion to mounting on the vehicle

This kit impresses not only with easy installation, but due to its high manufacturing quality also provides constant oil temperature and oil pressure control. The nylon-sheathed lines ensure a long service life.

Attention: Minor adjustments to the plastic trim are necessary. The oil cooler brackets must be shortened and screwed together (see pictures). The brackets are not plug & play and require modification work.

NPT threads are theoretically self-sealing. The sealing effect is ensured by the increasing diameter and thus via the thread flanks. Depending on manufacturing tolerances, material and the quality of the existing thread, however, a 100 percent seal cannot always be achieved in practice. We therefore always recommend using a chemical thread sealant even with NPT threads.
