Regardless of statutory warranty claims, we offer a voluntary three-year warranty on our BAR-TEK® products and Turbo-Total brand performance turbochargers. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship. The statutory rights of the consumer ("warranty holder") remain unaffected by this warranty.
1. Commencement of the warranty:
The warranty takes effect from the date of purchase.
2. Exclusions from the warranty:
The warranty is void in the event of improper use and, in particular, in the following cases:
- Improper installation or maintenance.
- Opening the turbocharger or removing seals.
- Incorrect engine tuning, such as... B. due to excessive boost pressure or excessive exhaust gas temperature.
- Use of unsuitable or incorrect lubricants.
- Damage caused by the ingress of foreign objects.
- Leaks in the boost pressure system.
- Contaminants in the oil.
- Blocked engine ventilation.
- Increased exhaust back pressure.
- Inadequate dimensioning of the intake or other components.
- Theft, accidents, or flooding.
- Exceeding the maximum permissible turbo speed.
Our racing engines are excluded from the three-year warranty.
3. Warranty Claims:
In the event of a warranty claim, we have the right to either replace or repair the defective part. Claims beyond repair are not accepted. Claims by the warranty holder due to intentional or grossly negligent conduct on our part, our agents, or legal representatives, as well as claims for injury to life, body, or health, remain unaffected.
4. No Transfer of Warranty:
The warranty applies exclusively to the original purchaser. In particular, it does not apply in the case of resale or gifting.
5. Notification and Handling of Warranty Claims:
- Material and manufacturing defects covered by the warranty must be reported within the warranty period. The warranty claim must be reported in writing (e.g., by letter or email) within one month of its occurrence. The date of receipt of the notification by us is decisive for compliance with the deadline.
- If the repair or replacement is covered by the warranty, the customer bears the costs of shipping to and from the warrantor.
- In the case of a defect not covered by the warranty, the warranty holder bears the costs of the repair. In this case, we will inform the warranty holder and provide a cost estimate for the repair. The repair will only be carried out with the express consent of the warranty holder.

The Thor 888 upgrade turbocharger is the more powerful brother of the Thor 777 and therefore our latest turbo development for the 2.5 TFSI EA855 engine (DAZA and DNWA). Just like its little colleague, it looks as harmless as the original turbo, while easily delivering over 800 hp. You also only know a spool-up like this from the ¼ mile. This makes the Thor 888 a hybrid turbo and the ultimate wolf in sheep's clothing, bringing professional performance from the racetrack to the road.
We have designed the Thor 888 upgrade turbocharger for optimum flow. It's also as easy to install as the original, so you can get your extra power and driving pleasure quickly and easily.
Hybrid turbo with integral manifold and original look
Everything about the Thor 888 screams high-boost: the integral manifold turns the exhaust housing and manifold into a single component, eliminating any joints. This ensures that exhaust gases can flow freely and there is no turbulence that could reduce performance. You notice this in the extremely fast response. We have also optimized the cross-section of the integrated manifold to improve performance. This also reduces the thermal loads and thus drastically increases durability, even though it delivers such dramatic performance.
Bolt-on kit for easy installation
As the ultimate wolf in sheep's clothing, the entire Thor 888 package looks just like the original and is just as easy to install, as the downpipe is fitted to the original bolt-on point. The oil and water lines also remain original.
