The topic of approval and TÜV is an issue for everyone in the automotive and tuning sector. And the future does not necessarily look easy. In order to anticipate the whole issue of expert reports, ABE's and type approvals, we have gone to the trouble of having all our ignition coils tested. We are now proud to be able to offer you our High Performance ignition coils with ECE approval, as the first and only supplier.

The original ignition coils are very sensitive and could lead to misfires. To solve this problem, we have the solution:

The HIGH Performance ignition coil is very stable and is popular on tuned 1.8T, TFSI & 2.7T engines.

The ignition coils provide better combustion due to the stronger ignition spark, which also reduces fuel consumption.

The ignition coil fits without adapter plates on:

• all 2.0 TFSI EA113 / TSI engines of the 1st and 2nd generation.
• EA888 Gen.2
• 2.5 EA855 engines

The adapter plates are required on:

• 1.8T and 2.7L biturbo engines (e. g. Golf 4 or Audi S4/RS4)
• newer VW / Audi 3.2L V6 engines

The adapter plates are available in oval or square shape depending on the ignition coil mounting on the valve cover!

Price per piece.

We always recommend spraying a little silicone spray on the coil during installation. Otherwise it can happen that the rubber tears during removal.

Why are our BAR-TEK ignition coils with ECE-R10 approval the right choice?

Our ignition coils with tested ECE-R10 approval offer a decisive plus in safety, reliability and legal certainty in vehicle operation.

ECE Regulation No. 10 defines binding requirements throughout Europe for the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of electrical and electronic vehicle components. In practical use, this means: An ECE-R10 tested ignition coil is designed so that it does not generate impermissible electromagnetic interference and at the same time remains insensitive to external interference. This is of central importance, especially in modern vehicles with complex control units, bus systems and safety-relevant assistance systems.

Non-tested or low-quality ignition coils, on the other hand, can lead to considerable problems – including malfunctions of engine control units, interference in vehicle electronics or, in the worst case, impairments of safety-relevant systems. Such effects are often difficult to diagnose and lead to unnecessary time and cost expenditure.

Another key advantage lies in legal security: With ECE-R10 approval, the ignition coil, like an OE coil, complies with applicable European regulations. This ensures that no conflicts with legal requirements arise during installation and that the vehicle’s operating license remains unaffected. In addition, ECE-R10 tested ignition coils generally stand for tested and consistent product quality. They are tested under defined conditions and meet clear limits regarding emitted interference and immunity to interference – a decisive factor for long-lasting and trouble-free operation.
