1.4849 stainless steel casting. The best of the best!

For use in motorsport, we use exclusively materials with the best properties. As the alloy for our exhaust manifolds, we therefore chose a heat-resistant stainless steel casting with the little-known name "1.4849". It consists of a complex mixture of chromium, manganese, molybdenum, nickel, niobium, phosphorus, sulfur and silicon. Among the most important properties of material 1.4849 are in particular its heat resistance of up to 1100 degrees Celsius and its high elongation at break. This makes it the material of dreams when it comes to the highest thermal and mechanical loads – and as if made for demanding use in motorsport. That’s why it was clear that we only wanted the best of the best for our components and your tuning projects!

Note: Depending on the design of the actuator, material must be removed from the valve cover to ensure sufficient clearance.
