SIMONS silencers enjoy the reputation of having a high level of noise insulation. We have used it on several vehicles with a surprisingly pleasant sound.

What does quietly mean?
We compared SIMONS silencers with other manufacturer's dampers and measured the volume. In all tests, the SIMONS dampers were the ones with the best noise insulation. The test compares only Absorbtionsdämpfer, so continuous damper without chambers. Silencers with chambers are even quieter, only counterproductive in terms of engine performance.

We measured different silencers during operation and determined the following "silencers". The test is based on stand-up measurements. Idling and 2000 rpm. Starting from the sound level without silencer! These values ​​are only for orientation and selection assistance. The actual noise levels depend on the vehicle and the system. Based on the body size, the values ​​can also be projected on the models in 63.5 and 89mm.

Which damper is best?
The larger the volume of the damper, the more it dampens. Make the most of the space you have under the vehicle and choose the largest damper. We have found that oval mufflers are quieter than round ones.

End silencer or middle silencer?
Since the dampers are completely continuous, they can be used as pre, middle or end silencers.
