Athena presents the new cut ring cylinder head gasket for the R32 24V.

Cut ring gaskets are ideal for turbo engines that run with a lot of boost pressure. These high-performance engines require gaskets that can withstand high temperatures and pressures. Athena has therefore developed the only racing gasket for engines available on the market that ensures maximum sealing under all conditions. The gasket is made from the exclusive Motor Gasket® material and features stainless steel sealing rings that are CNC machined from solid in order to seal every opening of the cylinder bore even under the highest loads. Motor Gasket® withstands all stresses of high-compression engines and is treated with special non-stick and anti-wear coatings.

New head bolts should definitely be used as well! Or even better ARP stud bolts.

Note: The rings must be installed with the grooves facing upwards! The specified bore is always that of the cylinder head gasket! This means the diameter of your cylinder bore must always be 0.5 - 1.0 mm smaller than that of the cylinder head gasket!
