Heat protection tape coated with lava stone
We love motorsport and focus on quality down to the smallest detail. That's why you can only buy asbestos-free heat protection tape in the BAR-TEK® tuning shop - made of titanium, for example. And because we know that style also plays a role in engine tuning, you can choose between the colours black and beige. This gives the exhaust, manifold and other parts exactly the look you want.
A highlight of our heat protection products is the titanium heat protection tape for the exhaust manifold or the fan-shaped manifold, coated with lava stone. It withstands a continuous load of up to 1,150 degrees Celsius, and even 1,400 degrees for short periods, and is particularly suitable for turbo engines. It is very easy to mount without glue: We recommend our stainless steel cable ties for mounting.
How to determine the right length of the heat protection tape
You want to know how long the heat protection tape has to be? Our tip: Simply wrap a cable around the manifold - this will give you a fairly accurate estimate of the length you need. You can use this as a rough guide: For a four-cylinder engine you need about 23 metres of heat protection tape with a width of 25 millimetres.
The heat protection alternative for narrow engine compartments
If you do not want to or cannot insulate the entire manifold, for example because the engine compartment is too narrow, we have a good alternative for you: the manifold jacket kit for individual components such as the ignition cable or fuel line. The kit comes ready to install with fasteners and steel cable ties.
