Description

Harmonic damper for the crankshaft, fits all BMW M50, M52, S50 & S52 engines.

Fluidampr performance harmonic dampers are designed for the entire life of the engine; no rebuilding or re-tuning is required. The black zinc coating and laser-engraved SFI 18.1 certification also ensure a high-end look, even under the harsh conditions of racing.

The stock damper only uses a rubber compound that is designed ONLY for a factory engine.

The harmonic damper is filled with GEL and eliminates ALL negative vibrations that occur in the entire rotating assembly across the entire rev range!

Especially on tuned engines where a different crankshaft, pistons, or conrods are installed, the stock damper should be replaced with the Fluidampr. Otherwise, at high rpm there is even a risk of crankshaft failure!

Features:

  • Improved idle, even when converting to a single mass flywheel
  • Less noise at idle
  • Less vibration in the rotating assembly and on the transmission side
  • Reduces turbo lag during fast gear changes
  • Power gains of up to 10 hp possible depending on engine setup
  • SFI 18.1 certified – the industry standard for harmonic damper safety
  • Made in the USA

Integrated 60-2 tooth trigger wheel for the crankshaft sensor. If your stock M52 harmonic damper has a 60-2 tooth trigger wheel, an upgrade to the Fluidampr damper is recommended. The dampers offer flexibility with removable accessory drive pulleys in OEM dimensions: an inner pulley (5.75 inch, 6 ribs) and an outer pulley (5.00 inch, 5 ribs). The outer pulley is mounted on a 3.20 inch bolt circle and allows the use of common drive adapters for dry sump oil systems.
