With the turbine housings for Garrett turbochargers you can configure the turbocharger yourself to suit your requirements. This makes sense if, for example, you want to adapt the turbocharger for a different engine displacement with different A/R values. Housings with other flanges can also be installed.


Determining the A/R value correctly:
The A/R value determines the exhaust gas flow of the turbine housing and is therefore largely responsible for the performance characteristics of the turbocharger and engine. In principle, the following applies: the smaller the A/R value, the earlier the turbocharger responds, but on the other hand the exhaust back pressure increases and the maximum power decreases.
