With the turbine housings for Garrett turbocharger you can configure the turbo according to your own ideas. This makes sense if you want to adapt the turbo, e. g. for a different engine displacement with other A/R values. Housings with other flanges can also be installed.


Determining the correct A/R value:
The A/R value determines the exhaust gas flow of the turbine housing and is therefore primarily responsible for the performance characteristics of turbocharger and engine. As a general rule: the smaller the A/R value, the earlier the turbocharger responds, but on the other hand the exhaust back pressure increases and the maximum power decreases.
