With the turbine housings for Garrett turbochargers you can configure the turbo according to your own requirements. This makes sense if, for example, you want to adapt the turbo to a different displacement with different A/R values. Housings with different flanges can also be installed.


Correctly determining the A/R value:
The A/R value determines the exhaust gas flow of the turbine housing and is therefore largely responsible for the performance characteristics of the turbocharger and engine. The basic rule is: the smaller the A/R value, the earlier the turbocharger responds; on the other hand, exhaust back pressure increases and maximum power decreases.
