With the turbine housings for Garrett turbochargers, you can configure the turbo exactly according to your requirements. This makes sense if you want to adapt the turbo, for example, to a different engine displacement with different A/R values. Housings with different flanges can also be fitted.


Correctly determining the A/R value:
The A/R value determines the exhaust flow capacity of the turbine housing and is therefore primarily responsible for the performance characteristics of the turbocharger and engine. Basically, the following applies: the smaller the A/R value, the earlier the turbocharger responds; on the other hand, exhaust backpressure increases and maximum power decreases.
