Description

One of the most common faults that occurs with a power output of over 800 hp is the shearing of the teeth of the fourth gear wheel due to the high torque that the engine delivers to the gearbox.

As the problem does not occur suddenly, as with many other gearbox failures, but is a gradual process, it can result in major gearbox damage. Dodson has developed a solution and optimised only the fourth gear. The transmission ratio remains the same. This upgrade helps to ensure that the gearbox can also cope with power beyond 800 hp without any problems.
