Description

Gates Racing timing belt for all 1.8T engines except for the very old ones such as AEB engine code.

Blue RACING timing belt with the following features:

  • Kevlar reinforced fabric
  • Aramid teeth
  • Nylon fibres
  • 300% stronger
  • 300% more heat resistant
  • 300% more durable

compared to standard belts.

The timing belt should always be checked for good tension! Replacement interval according to VW every 60TKM. With tuned engines, however, the belt should be replaced earlier.

If this belt breaks or slips, this usually results in serious engine damage!
