Description

The MMR Performance oil catch can kit for all BMW N55 engines is designed to separate unwanted oil from the PCV system before returning it to the intake tract. Keep your intercooler and intake ducts free of oil deposits to enjoy a cleaner, more reliable and more powerful engine.

Direct injection engines like the N55 are known to accumulate sludge and carbon on the back of the intake valves, which over the years leads to a significant loss of engine performance and efficiency. This is where the Catch Tank comes into play. By capturing unwanted oil and water vapour through the filter and the separation process of the Catch Tank, the intake air contains significantly less oil mist, ensuring a clean airflow through the intake manifold and burning a higher percentage of oxygen for a better and more efficient combustion process. Just as importantly, this keeps your intercooler and intake ducts free of oil deposits in the long term.

The housing of the Catch Tank, anodised in the characteristic MMR high-gloss black, is located on the inner wing and is easily mounted with our precision-manufactured billet bracket. Thanks to the bespoke motorsport quality hoses and crimped racing connections, installation couldn't be easier - MMR has even replicated the more complex connection on the camshaft housing from billet aluminium! Thanks to the integrated dipstick, the level of oil removed from the intake system can be easily checked.
