1.8T top-mount exhaust manifold for up to 700 hp and more!

New development from BAR-TEK® for all 1.8T 20V engines in order to upgrade to turbochargers of the Garrett G-series, e. g.!

The optimal preparation for an upgrade turbocharger for your 1.8T 20V engine: with the newly developed top-mount manifold from BAR-TEK®, your engine finally gets the power it deserves. With this, a full 700 hp is possible!

In contrast to conventional log-style manifolds, our newly developed 1.8T exhaust manifold has a 4-to-1 design which enables pulse charging. This massively improves, among other things, the response. The reason for this is its flow-optimized design and the 48 mm cross-section: its construction allows a higher throughput and an insane increase in performance already in the mid-range. The exhaust gases are not swirled and no backpressure is created, which significantly increases the performance of the manifold and the fun when stepping on the gas.

What makes the manifold perfect for your 1.8T 20V

With this top-mount manifold you have the right manifold to give your turbocharger an upgrade. The turbocharger is mounted above the manifold (top mount) and attached via the V-band connection. This makes it a perfect fit, for example, for the turbochargers of the G25 and G30 series with V-band flange and internal wastegate, as well as for all other turbos with V-band. To further reinforce the manifold and make it more resistant to stress cracks, the flanges are slotted. That’s why it is also suitable for the high power increase.

1.4849 cast stainless steel. The best of the best!

For use in motorsport, we use only materials with the best properties. As the alloy for our manifolds, we therefore chose a heat-resistant cast stainless steel with the little-known name “1.4849”. It consists of a complex mixture of chromium, manganese, molybdenum, nickel, niobium, phosphorus, sulfur and silicon. The most important properties of material 1.4849 include in particular its heat resistance of up to 1100 degrees Celsius and its high fracture elongation. This makes it the material of dreams when it comes to the highest thermal and mechanical loads – and as if made for demanding use in motorsport. That’s why it was clear that we only wanted the best of the best for our components and your tuning projects!

Note: Depending on the version of the actuator, material must be removed from the valve cover for sufficient clearance.
