Description

The S58 engine, introduced with the G series, has proved to be a real gem. The tuning potential is gigantic.

For the M2, M3 and M4 models of the G series, Infinity has comprehensively optimized the intake system: not only was the air intake newly designed, but larger turbo inlets were also installed.

In addition, three cold air feeds per side were implemented – in contrast to the single feed of the stock system.

The first feed uses the factory air intake at the front. The second is also a front feed, positioned in an area where only ambient air is drawn in. The third feed is particularly interesting.

This design concept ensures maximum air supply while maintaining the lowest possible intake temperature.

The result is an impressive look in the engine bay, combined with a more spontaneous and more linear throttle response. In addition, more torque is available more quickly, and the intake sound is both refined and distinctive under load.

The complete air intake was developed using CFD analysis.

The results show an even, turbulence‑free airflow. The filter straightens the air and enables the Venturi intake pipe to draw in large volumes of air at high speed. Both components work independently of each other and thus create the largest intake funnel of all intake systems currently available.

The turbo inlets are significantly larger than the stock parts and are designed to smooth the airflow and increase the flow velocity towards the turbocharger blades.
