Description

Infinity Design upgrade carbon air intake for the M5 and M6. Massive, high‑performance Venturi filter wrapped in beautiful carbon. Perfect fit for the S63 engine.

The stock M5 air intake has only a single inlet. Due to the high air demand of the engine, the engineers at Infinity had to create an additional opening. The resulting design is maximally efficient with regard to low intake air temperatures. The carbon air intake was designed as a smooth, one‑piece intake pipe with an expanding cross‑section and integrated mass air flow sensor, which is connected directly to the inlets using silicone couplers.

The large‑volume pipe with increasing diameter acts like a large intake funnel that accelerates the air flow. The airflow optimized by the intake pipe ensures a significantly more even torque curve in the lower rev range, which greatly improves drivability. The engine response feels immediately smoother and more spontaneous.

Attachment to the air filter housing is via a stainless steel V‑band clamp. The housing is directly connected to the stock front air duct and has a 100 mm opening that is oriented towards the front area of the engine bay, ensuring the engine is optimally supplied with fresh air.
