Stainless steel downpipes in the finest quality
At the BAR-TEK® tuning shop, you're sure to find the right downpipe, also known as a Y-pipe, for your car. For example, we have stainless steel downpipes from APR for various engines to choose from. With a diameter of 76 millimetres, they allow the catalytic converter to "breathe". In addition, two high-flow catalytic converters, a 300-cell catalytic converter or a 400-cell catalytic converter further reduce exhaust pressure - which means more power and durability for your turbocharger and engine! The ideal exhaust gas flow is ensured by the inlet area with a cross-section of 80 millimetres and the design of the downpipe, which is made of one piece right up to the catalytic converter. Our downpipes come with all the accessories you need for installation. In addition, we also offer downpipe kits that you can build yourself - we are also happy to put together downpipe kits individually for you.
The advantages of downpipes for engine tuning
In addition to the longer durability of the turbocharger and engine, the downpipe has other advantages: On the one hand, it causes a faster acceleration of the engine, on the other hand, it ensures a lower exhaust gas pressure and thus a lower exhaust gas temperature. The engine has more power as well as a rich sound and the car a great driving experience.
