Upgrade your turbocharger for a healthy dose of extra power
Turbo-Total® upgrade turbochargers are beefed-up turbos that are specially designed for a healthy dose of extra performance. Their compressor wheels are optimised, and their turbine wheels are designed for reduced exhaust gas back pressure. The connections are usually the same, and the turbochargers can be replaced via plug & play, making the installation process child’s play. This way, the blow-off valves and other parts can just stay. The bearings are reinforced, making your turbo much more durable. And to stabilise the boost pressure, the wastegates are reinforced, too. Meaning no more flutter. And there are also reverse-rotation turbochargers – like the Thor 650 Turbocharger for 2.0L TFSI EA113 engines. The exhaust gases are routed to the turbine wheel in a flow-optimised manner with this turbocharger, which greatly improves responsiveness and efficiency. What’s more, these turbos feature temperature-resistant materials, such as stainless steel able to withstand up to 1,050 °C for core assemblies or Inconel for turbine wheels.
