The camber plate is also referred to as spring strut bearings since it sits above the spring on the strut. It connects the strut with the body and ensures that the strut can rotate in the strut tower. Even a small change in the angle is possible with the camber plate. As standard equipment, the strut bearings consist of a rubber/metal part; in car racing and tuning, however, people rely on metal camber plates in which a ball joint ensures the angle change. With it, you can steer far more precisely. The use of adjustable camber plates is recommended particularly in a lowered passenger car.
