Description

Race main bearing shells for all EA888 TSI engines as installed in the Golf 6 GTI and many more.

These bearing shells for the crankshaft were developed to withstand higher engine power.
Longer engine life due to special coatings. Multiple coatings improve heat transfer and maximize adhesion between bearings.

Bearing shells are constructed as follows:

Lead, Tin, Copper Plating
Nickel coating
Copper Lead coating
hardened steel backing

Other advantages:

High strength despite reduced thickness.
Improved oil film due to improved oil bore.
Enlarged ID chamfers on the bearing edges.

Not suitable for EA888 third generation (MQB).
