What is a supercore and how does it differ from other turbochargers?
A supercore is a turbocharger that does not have a turbine housing, so it only consists of the compressor housing and the core assembly. To make it complete, in addition to the exhaust housing, it also needs gaskets and possibly an actuator. Whereas with a conventional turbocharger you would have to replace the entire turbo in the event of damage, with the Supercore you can leave the exhaust side as it is and still achieve outputs of over 1000 hp . Rust often forms on conventional turbine housings. For this reason, our housings are made only from the best stainless steel, which cannot rust and can withstand all other extreme conditions.
Why should you use a Supercore?
As turbine housings can generally withstand a lot and can also survive turbo damage, it may well be that you don't need to replace them. In such cases, you can save yourself a complete turbocharger and just use the new supercore. One of the more exciting reasons for a supercore is the goal of installing a larger turbocharger. If you want more power and the exhaust side is still in good shape, you can easily get more Power under the bonnet with a Supercore without having to change the entire turbocharger. But even if you generally want to test and change several turbocharger, a Supercore is a good choice.
Why Supercore instead of upgrade superchargers?
upgrade-Superchargers are original turbocharger that have been modified (the housings are CNC optimised and enlarged to convey more air); visually, it is not obvious at a glance that this is a modified turbo. A supercore, on the other hand, is a premium-level performance product that is explicitly designed for motorsport. That's why you can sometimes find supercores up to 3000 hp. This means that no performance question remains unanswered!
